The Toronto Climate Observatory (TCO) is seeking proposals for its upcoming Toronto Climate Data Summit happening on February 18-20, 2026. The TCO is looking for people interested in sharing their work around climate and data. Data is defined broadly:
- traditional data research
- people working on oral histories, citizen science, artists, and more
Applicants should be based in the GTA or Southern Ontario and may propose to be on a panel or 8-10 minute “lightning round” talks. Submissions will be accepted until the deadline January 20th, 2026, at 5 pm. Proposals should include a title and abstracts of no longer than 250 words, speaker credentials, and past experience presenting, if applicable.
The Toronto Climate Observatory is an research and knowledge hub housed at the University of Toronto that is dedicated to supporting just, place-based climate action across the Greater Toronto Area. The TCO combines interdisciplinary expertise, community partnerships, local voices, and open data to inform planning, resilience, and equity in a changing climate.
