We are pleased to announce the official launch of the Sustainability-Embedded Quality Improvement (SE-QI) Toolkit and Spotlight, following the successful completion of a national validation pilot involving 14 healthcare organizations across six provinces.
Co-developed by Vancouver Coastal Health, Interior Health, Health Quality BC, and CASCADES, the SE-QI Toolkit is a Canadian-developed resource that helps healthcare teams identify, measure, and report the environmental impacts and co-benefits of quality improvement initiatives. Complementing the toolkit, the SE-QI Spotlight is a pan-Canadian repository and learning network that allows organizations to showcase initiatives, exchange knowledge, and support peer learning.
As environmental sustainability becomes increasingly recognized as an cross-cutting dimension of high-quality care, the SE-QI Toolkit and Spotlight provide a practical, evidence-informed, and Canadian-tested approach to embedding sustainability into everyday quality improvement practice.
