We’re pleased to share the graphic recording from Supporting Newcomers Through Pharmacy: Improving Health System Navigation and Safe, Sustainable Medication Use, which we co-hosted with the Network for Improving Health Systems earlier this year. Graphic recording offers a meaningful way to translate complex research and diverse perspectives into an accessible and engaging format that can continue to support reflection and conversation beyond an event.
The webinar showcased research led by one of our 2025 graduate fellows, Yasmin Aboelzahab, on healthcare challenges faced by newcomers to Canada and examined how pharmacists can play a key role in healthcare navigation and safe medication use. We also heard from frontline pharmacists Tarek Hussein and Doret Cheng who are contributing to improving climate conscious healthcare access for newcomer populations.
The graphic recording captures a visual interpretation of the research and the experiences of our speakers by highlighting the connections among health system navigation, medication safety, health equity, climate-conscious care, and pharmacist support for newcomer international students.
