We are grateful to recognize the Canadian Medical Association (CMA) as an anchor partner for our 2026 Climate & Health Conference.
Physicians see first-hand how climate change and environmental degradation affect patients, communities, and the health system. Wildfires, air pollution, floods and extreme heat pose threats to health and access to care, disproportionately affecting Indigenous communities, older adults, children and youth and other populations facing heath inequities. The CMA is calling for urgent federal action to advance planetary health by strengthening climate-resilient health infrastructure, improving emergency preparedness and supporting healthy, equitable and sustainable communities.
The CMA works with partners across the country and around the world to raise awareness of the connections between climate and health and to advance the integration of sustainable care into medical education and practice.
