Climate Change and the Developing and Aging Brain -Considering both Early Development (In Utero – Adolescence) and Late Life Brain Impacts

Learning objectives:

  1. Participants will be familiar with the major forms of environmental risks relevant to brain development.
  2. Participants will be familiar with the specific brain impacts of different kinds of environmental risks.
  3. Participants will be familiar with promising directions to address these risks – from clinical interventions to policies and research.

  • Eric Brown – MD, MSc, FRCP, Assistant Professor, University of Toronto Department of Psychiatry; Associate Chief, Geriatric Psychiatry Division, CAMH – Brown has expertise in late life mental health and risk factors of dementia
  • Sean Kidd, PhD, Professor, University of Toronto Department of Psychiatry; Senior Scientist, CAMH – Kidd has expertise in poverty, climate and health equity
