In this session, we’ll learn about the key components of organizational heat preparedness, including identifying vulnerable populations, safeguarding staff health and wellbeing, adapting clinical protocols and workflows, ensuring infrastructure resilience, and maintaining service continuity during heat events. Items of potential focus will include: developing and implementing heat action plans, conducting risk assessments, clarifying roles and responsibilities, and integrating heat preparedness into emergency management and/or quality improvement efforts.
