Narjis Fatima Hussain

Narjis Fatima Hussain is a PhD candidate at the Department of Nutritional Sciences, University of Toronto, with a Collaborative Specialization in Global Health. Her doctoral research, through the Centre for Global Child Health, SickKids, examines the impact of heat exposure on postnatal maternal and infant health, nutrition, and lactation in rural Pakistan with the aim to generate evidence to co-develop adaptation strategies for heat-sensitive care during the postnatal period. She is also a REACH Alliance researcher, currently leading a case study on women’s empowerment and food-based sustainability in rural Mexico.
