Statement of Land Acknowledgement

The Collaborative Centre for Climate, Health & Sustainable Care wishes to acknowledge the original stewards of the lands that the University of Toronto now occupies. For thousands of years, these lands have been the traditional territories of the Huron-Wendat, the Seneca, and the Mississaugas of the Credit. These lands are now home to many diverse First Nations, Inuit and Métis peoples from across Turtle Island. We commit through our work to contribute to better relations with Indigenous peoples and the ecosystems that sustain us, acknowledging the ongoing harms of colonialism and the importance of Indigenous self-determination in building a post-colonial and an environmentally and socially sustainable future.
