Annika Zworth is an MSc candidate in Resource and Environmental Management at Dalhousie University. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Life Science with a minor in English Language and Literature from Queen’s University. Following her undergraduate studies, Annika conducted research with Prevent Cancer Now, a non-profit organization focused on understanding and addressing links between environmental exposures and cancer risk.
Drawing on interdisciplinary training in both life sciences and environmental management, Annika’s research interests lie at the intersection of climate change, environmental health, and public health systems. She is particularly interested in how climate change influences human health through changing patterns of disease, heat and contaminant exposure, and the increasing frequency and severity of climate-related disasters. Through her work, she aims to better understand how communities and health systems can adapt to emerging environmental health challenges.
