Alison Thompson is an Associate Professor in the Leslie Dan Faculty of Pharmacy, Dalla Lana School of Public Health and a member of the University of Toronto Joint Centre for Bioethics. Her interdisciplinary research is located at the intersection of philosophy and critical sociology, within the field of public health ethics. She has done work on the ethics of drug safety and effectiveness, vaccine ethics, and pandemic planning and response. Future work includes an increased focus on the intersections of environment and health, and the normative dimensions of interventions that impact both planetary and human health.
