Led by Dr. Ito Peng, Director, Centre for Global Social Policy, Professor of Sociology and Public Policy, and Canada Research Chair in Global Social Policy, this work engages stakeholders from around the world to understand the care and climate change nexus, and to centre care and gender in thinking about solutions to the climate crisis.
Key activities:
- In partnership with Massey College, the Collaborative Centre hosted a Climate & Health Seminar entitled Climate Action Cannot Succeed Without Older People: Exploring the Intersection of Aging and Climate. This Massey Dialogue in conversation with Dr. Ross Upshur, Temerty Medicine, and Dr. Ito Peng, moderated by Jane Zhao, Institute of Health Policy, Management and Evaluation, explored the research, policy, and ethics at the intersection of aging and climate.
