We equip learners to understand and act on the health and health system challenges of climate & environmental change.
Health professionals and health scientists must be able to recognize and respond to climate change and the eco-social determinants of health, and to contribute to a more equitable and sustainable world. Education is thus a core responsibility and unifying theme for the Collaborative Centre’s work.
We aim to strengthen the capacity of health professions educators, and to deliver programs that meet the needs of diverse learners, including those in formal education, and those already in practice.
Collaborative Centre Programs
Supports & Services
In addition to our programming, we aim to support learners – including faculty, students, trainees, and practitioners – by providing capacity strengthening and networking opportunities, and enabling access to a variety of relevant resources.
We share information about educational opportunities – see news and sign up for our newsletter
We share information about educational innovations – submit your “educational initiative”.
We help researchers find talented students to support research and help students and other members to find relevant professional opportunities – see opportunities
Through this work, we seek ways to strengthen capacity across disciplines and professions and to support innovative pedagogical methods that include experiential and applied learning.
For students and trainees to develop the requisite expertise, faculty must be empowered to teach relevant knowledge and skills. We are working to build and sustain a community of educators who can support health professional competency in planetary health and sustainable care across our founding faculties.
