Dr. Chris Gilchrist is a palliative care physician with the Dorothy Ley Hospice Community Physicians and a part-time academic family physician with the Trillium-Summerville Family Medicine Teaching Unit. He is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Family and Community Medicine at the University of Toronto Dr. Gilchrist graduated from the University of Toronto in 2012 and subsequently completed his family medicine residency at Trillium Health Partners in 2014. He is currently persuing his Master of Education through the University of Ottawa. In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Gilchrist is heavily involved in undergraduate medical education where he serves as the Director for the Introduction to Medicine course and as the Associate Director of Clinical Skills, both within the University of Toronto MD Program. As climate change continues to impact our world, the field of medicine needs to adapt and prepare for the health consequences of this change. Dr. Gilchrist looks to advance the field of planetary health within medical education.
