Navisha is a PhD nursing student at the Lawrence Bloomberg Faculty of Nursing at the University of Toronto. Navisha’s experience as a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department and Research Assistant with the Centre for Sustainable Health Systems sparked her interest in advancing environmentally sustainable care in health systems through research and practice. Her research interests include critically examining the relationships among the medically-related industry, the proliferation of single-use medical products, and hospital-based infection control, and the implications on patient safety and environmental sustainability.
