The Climate, Health, & Sustainable Care ECHO serves as a collaborative space for people in the Canadian healthcare sector to discuss, troubleshoot, and celebrate efforts to provide climate resilient and sustainable care across settings and specialties. Each session features a topic of interest grounded by experts in the field and brought to life by case studies shared by participants.
As our collective understanding of the issues and opportunities related to climate and environmental change and health deepens, the ECHO format offers members of the healthcare community the support they need to navigate the nuances of sustainability work.
Taking Action on Planetary Health: Digital Certificate
Taking Action on Planetary Health introduces learners to the emerging and transdisciplinary social movement of Planetary Health and offers the opportunity for learners to develop and implement solutions that will allow humanity and the natural systems we depend on to thrive now and in the future.
Over the course of 4 synchronous interactive online modules and 3 asynchronous modules with guided independent group work, participants will explore key planetary health concepts and frameworks, collaborate with a diverse group of learners, and apply planetary health principles to a novel and practical planetary health intervention.
Introduction to Sustainable Health Systems
Introduction to Sustainable Health Systems is an online course provided by CASCADES for anyone who works in the Canadian health system.
This self-paced course (approximately 90 minutes) will introduce you to the relationship between climate change, health, and health systems; familiarize you with the concept of sustainable health systems; and get you thinking about how you might incorporate climate action and sustainability into your work.
Fundamentals of Sustainable Health Systems
Fundamentals of Sustainable Health Systems is a professional education program for frontline staff, administrators, and leaders within care delivery, professional, and support organizations with an interest in harnessing opportunities to achieve high quality, low carbon care.
This course builds from the prerequisite online course Introduction to Sustainable Health Systems, which participants must complete in advance of the course session in order to participate.
