Dr. Kuan Liu is an Assistant Professor at the Institute of Health Policy, Management and Evaluation, Dalla Lana School of Public Health, University of Toronto, with a cross-appointment in the Division of Biostatistics. She holds a Tier II Canada Research Chair in Causal Methods for Health Research. Her research program develops methods for comparative effectiveness research using large administrative health databases and electronic health records, with the goal of generating credible, explainable evidence for policy and clinical decision-making. Dr. Liu’s climate-health work centres on an interdisciplinary research program examining the acute and cumulative impacts of extreme heat and wildfire smoke on healthy aging among older adults.
